Grand Princess Day 6: Ketchikan | Princess Alaska Cruise Tour | Solo Travel Vlog

Hello Travelers, In July of 2023, I did my first Alaska cruise tour with Princess cruises. If you haven’t done one of these before, it is a bit different than just going on a cruise. I finally made it off the ship! I missed several excursions this trip due to illness, but today I felt well enough to try the Ketchikan Photo Safari I had booked. I didn’t make it through the entire excursion though, there was one point after we’d been through the Potlatch Park and photographed all of that, and we were heading back into town. The guide said he was going to take us all around the downtown and show us some of his favorite places to shoot, but I was just too tired out. So I asked if it was ok to drop me off in front of the ship, and he said sure—we were just in a van, so it wasn’t like I was in a big tour bus or anything. The park was wonderful, and I really enjoyed my time there. If you get a chance to visit, I recommend it. It is a bit out of town though, so you may also want to be sure it is open for visitors before you head out that way.
