HAL Koningsdam Day 6: Ketchikan | Solo Travel | Holland America Cruise VLOG

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Holland America Cruise line’s Koningsdam on September 10, 2022. This video shows day six of our cruise, where we visit Ketchikan. While I think I have been to Ketchikan before, it would have been years ago on my first visit to Alaska. So this was like a first visit to me almost. I went to the LumberJack show, which was a fun thing to do. Note that while I bought the ticket through the cruise line, you don’t have to do that. You can just get it off their website. The cruise line didn’t provide transport—I walked from the dock to the show, it wasn’t a long walk, and you get to see the town a bit. After the show, I wander around Creek Street and the historic district. I also visited the Tongass Historical Museum, which was interesting and quite inexpensive at only $6 per adult. Finally, back on board I had dinner at Canaletto’s and the view as we sailed away was wonderful. The food was good too, but that view, oh my.
