Hello Travelers, I was on the brand new Norwegian Prima cruise ship for a media and travel agent cruise. This video covers the second day on this short four day cruise. We were at sea for the entire day, and you couldn’t have asked for better weather. The ship didn’t have as many activities as I am used to seeing on the schedule, but that is likely due to the fact that this was not a paying passenger cruise. I had breakfast in the buffet, where our two lovely crew members offered pastries in their charming way. The food was very good and just what I needed to start my day. I went to one of two seminars offered by the line to the media and travel agent guests. It was an overview of what the ship offered and what we should be sure to not miss. I found it helpful to point me to some areas I might have missed. As the first sea day, I was busy hiding ducks. My ducks this time were Halloween themed, and while we didn’t have many children around, I did spot a few here and there. Agents were allowed to bring guests along with them. Lucky kids! Lunch was in the Indulge Food Court. The seating in venues around this ship share one common drawback—they are too small for the crowds they draw. This venue was particularly bad for that. I was only able to get a counter seat at the Nudls station, and unlike when you get a regular table, you are restricted at these counters to just ordering from the station you are sitting in. I never did manage to get into the venue and get the full experience, sadly. Lunch was Pad Thai noodles, which were flavorful but also too spicy for me. I did my best, not wanting to leave a whole dish untouched, but I didn’t do it justice I’m afraid. I wanted to order a drink to help counter it, but the menus are clearly set up for a retail venue and do not accept the ship cards. I of course do not wander around the ship with my credit card, since usually it isn’t accepted anywhere. So I was unable to order even a water. I eventually made my way to The Local Bar, where they have a food menu as well. (The other side of the hall is a full restaurant) I ordered the pretzel bites with beer cheese, and they were really good. The pretzels were soft and chewy, and the cheese was more like a nacho cheese—it had zero beer taste. They went a long way in calming down my stomach after the spices. Dinner was in one of the two main dining rooms (Hudsons). The food was very good, although the dessert was not as expected.
