Hello Travelers, I’m embarking on quite the adventure today. I am starting a back to back (B2B) cruise on Ruby Princess for two weeks, and then when I step off this ship, I dash to the airport and fly to Los Angeles to get onto the side to side (S2S) portion of the trip. I am embarking on Carnival Panorama for my sister’s birthday cruise. This video covers the embarkation process on Ruby Princess and the first night of the cruise. The ship departed from Pier 27 not far from the Bay Bridge. It is the same pier we used when last I sailed on the Ruby, so it was familiar. There were definitely more passengers embarking on this voyage than the last time I took the Ruby in November of last year. The lines to get to and through security were longer, snaking around the building. The process was still handled smoothly however, and all told took about an hour start to finish. With ships leaving out of the Port of San Francisco, you get to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge. I set up a sailaway Timelapse and caught us going under the bridge that way this time. I also have some nice footage of the spillway process. This is my first time doing a back to back or a side to side cruise, so it will be an adventure I am sharing with you. Hopefully all goes well and I have no travel disasters! Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
