Creator's Key Takeaways

hi solo sue here i wanted to talk a little bit about disembarkation on carnival panorama

it was interesting because once we got off the ship we got back into the building and if you've seen the embarkation day video you know that there was this big switchback

so yeah for the price of a tip of you know tipping the porter a couple bucks a bag it was awesome

so anyway that was pretty much what i wanted to let you know about the embarkation process now this is the first ship that was coming back to that port since cruising was paused

YouTube Video Description

On August 21, 2021 I set sail on the Carnival Panorama for the restart of the west coast Mexico cruises. In this video, I describe the disembarkation process—my least favorite part of the cruise. It is always hard to leave the ship! In this case, the day before when they had the Disembarkation Show, in the main theater, they had the luggage tags on a rack outside the exit. The top rows were apparently for the earlier times to leave the ship, although it wasn’t marked at all. I had purchased an airport transfer, and needed to get off for that, so I got the early group tags for my bags. The next day, they started calling the luggage tags so you knew when to get off the ship. I exited the ship, sadly, and made my way to the port building. Once inside, they had that large switchback area absolutely packed with people waiting to get to the ground floor to collect their bags and go through customs. Once at the luggage area, I collected my bags, and someone was asking if anyone wanted a porter. I said I did, and instead of having to rejoin that long line that snaked all the way around the perimeter of the building and into a roped off line, we went to a dedicated porter line with just a few people and a dedicated customs agent. So that is my pro tip for this cruise—when in doubt, get a porter! For the price of a tip, you get the fast track to exit the building. He brought my bags to the bus, and off I went to the airport in no time. I was awesome! Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I will be starting the next video series, which is Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas. I went to Alaska, which is just beautiful. Thanks for watching!
