Hello Travelers, I boarded the Emerald Princess on August 21, 2023 right in the middle of Hurricane Hillary. This is the tour of the Crowne Plaza Los Angeles HarborHotel, where I stayed as a pre-cruise hotel in room 634. After a long travel day, impacted by airline maintenance and weather coming into LAX due to the impending Hurricane Hillary, I finally made it to my hotel. Originally, I was supposed to have arrived by 9:30am, but with all the delays, it was after 3pm when I finally got there. As a bonus, my room was ready, and check in was a breeze. This is the room tour for a very nice room with a harbor view. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant Blu, and both were good. There is also a full bar there and they serve small plates and drinks at a discount during happy hour. The hotel offered a breakfast voucher with the room, which got me the buffet. There was a good array of offerings and my breakfast was tasty and a good start to the day. The hotel has a shuttle to the cruise port. You sign up for your time at the reception desk. It costs $5.50 per person at the time of this video. I’ve stayed here before and it is a great hotel for pre-cruise stays. It is quite close to the port, and we passed the Emerald Princess at dock when we came in. She was in port a day early due to trying to avoid the hurricane, so we got a rare sighting. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
