Creator's Key Takeaways

Hello travelers. It is embarcation day. I am on the Silver Sea Nova and I have an amazing cabin.

It is one of the ultra luxury lines and it is really a nice cabin.

I'm near the aft of the ship. The balcony is bigger than most balconies, especially for us.

We are going to go see Hubard Glacier tomorrow. Hopefully, we will get some good cving going on.

Hello Travelers, join me for an unforgettable voyage on a Silversea cruises, where every detail is curated for luxury cruising. Experience the all inclusive cruise lifestyle with first class cruise amenities and gourmet dining aboard a stunning cruise ship. Get ready to set sail on an extraordinary cruise! This is an exciting trip for me, I have never been on Silversea, and I have heard good things about it. This is the Silversea Nova, and we board in Seward, Alaska. I flew into Anchorage, and I had booked the ACT Big Bus Transfer to take me from Anchorage to Seward cruise port. There is a big bus terminal and convention center in downtown Anchorage, and it left from there. It is always a beautiful drive up the Turnagain Arm, and it made the drive pleasant. A word of advice: if you like the views of the water, sit on the right side of the bus. Once we were dropped off with our luggage at the port, we proceeded into the port building to get our bags dropped and our paperwork validated. That was a very fast process, since there wasn’t a line when we arrived. Then it was through security and onto the ship! We were lucky enough to have the two sister ships: the Nova and the Muse both in port together. Both are beautiful ships, and I hope to be on another Silversea cruise again, perhaps on the Muse next time. This is a small port, and the gangway was not the fancy ones you see at the big ports. While the porters had my big suitcases, I still had to drag my carryons up that steep ramp. But somehow, I managed. Once on deck, one of the crew checked my passport and cruise card, and it was off to wait for the cabins to be ready. I was able to find a nice place to sit and read while sipping the first mojito of the cruise. Once the cabins were ready, I was able to drop my bags and enjoy a look around. It is a beautiful balcony cabin. I would say it is the equivalent of a mini suite on the mainstream cruise lines, given the separate seating area. The cabin was very nice, with a large marble bathroom and a walk-in closet, plus a lovely balcony. Dinner was in the main restaurant, and was very good. Although I ordered the carrot cake for dinner, and you will see from the footage that was no carrot cake.
