YouTube Video Description

Hello Travelers, I boarded P&O’s Iona on July 29, 2023. I have never been on this cruise line before, so I was interested to see the differences in the way a new line handles things. We are doing a seven day tour of the Norwegian Fjords, a bucket list cruise for me. I’m excited to bring you along on this trip! I have to say, this is the most beautiful port I have been to on this cruise, and considering the competition of the other ports, that is saying something. I was blown away by how beautiful this country is. I took the Briksdall Glacier tour, booked through the ship. The bus ride was only about 45 minutes to get up to the glacier visitor’s center. There I think we had 2 hours at the site before we were to meet back at the bus. The guide led the group up the mountain—the road is paved but it is quite steep and long as treks go. I could not walk it, but I went as far as I could, given the state of my health at the time. They did have a ticket office on the back of the visitors center that sold tickets for the ride up the mountain (and potentially back down). I think you could also buy them online, but I didn’t know about them before hand. I should have bought a ticket. Oh well, learn from my mistake. You don’t actually get to the actual glacier, but are able to get pretty close to it at the top of the walk. The views are supposed to be spectacular. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
