Queen Mary 2 Embarkation Day! | QM2 Trans Atlantic | Solo Travel Vlog

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Queen Mary 2 from New York City on July 21, 2023. This is a cruise of firsts—my first time on a Cunard ship, and my first time crossing the Atlantic Ocean. The cruise is seven days long, with no port stops at all. Our last time seeing land for the week, we embarked at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and had views of the Statue of Liberty from my balcony. Departing New York was a wonderful experience, and had the bonus of leaving during daylight. When you visit this port, it is frequently too dark to see anything from the ship, so leaving from here is a real treat. I was still recovering from being sick on my previous cruise (I still had a slight cough, and had lost my voice), and was carrying a heavy backpack and started feeling dizzy in line to embarkation. I told the lady I needed to sit down, and she let me sit and got me some water until I felt better. As it was, I made it onto the ship after checkin and promptly found a place to sit for another while before finding my cabin to drop my heavy bag. But because of this, I wasn’t feeling up to filming the process, so we don’t have video from the Brooklyn cruise terminal.
