Creator's Key Takeaways

I boarded the Seabourn Odyssey on September 29, 2023 for my last cruise of the year.

I do recommend wearing waterproof shoes my shoes I found to my dismay were not in fact waterproof and so I had soggy Socks by the end of it.

I will say if you're not a party person you know you want something that's relaxing and more lowkey this is a good line for that.

I have had it in my cabin every morning and I'm going to do it again tomorrow so they just delivered the Customs information today.

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Seabourn Odyssey on September 29, 2023 for my last cruise of the year. I had never sailed with Seabourn, and they are known as an ultra luxury line. I was very curious to see the differences in how they do things versus the main stream and even premium lines do. Today was another zodiac excursion from the ship. We anchored in the Inian Islands and left from the marina platform. We saw a bunch of seals, sea lions, sea otters and the occasional eagle. Tip for those of you going on a zodiac for the first time: make sure your footwear is waterproof, as well as any gear bags you may bring along. Water accumulates in the bottom of these vessels, and while they can open a drain, there are times when it isn’t feasible. My footwear was definitely not waterproof, and I had soggy socks by the end of the it. When we finished up with the zodiac tours, we headed off to Iscy Strait point. It was a several hour journey, and we arrived later in the afternoon. I had a ticket for the gondola ride (the high speed ride which takes you all the way up the mountain), and to get to that, you first take a free gondola ride. Then once at the top, you exchange your ticket for a wristband and hop on the second, faster gondola. This will take you to the summit, where you can get off and join other tours that meet there. Other than seeing the view, there really is nothing to do there. It is a waypoint more than a destination. But I wanted to see the view and see what it was like. The view coming down the mountain is also quite beautiful, and in the video I talk about some strategies you can try if you are not fond of heights, but still want to go on the gondola. Dinner was in the Colonnade Restaurant again. And we received disembarkation information for the day after tomorrow. This cruise is going by too fast.
