Creator's Key Takeaways

this is a good option as a pre-cruise hotel if you don't want to do the airport transfer

this is probably a handicap room and they just gave it to me because I got here after midnight

this room will be just fine for pre-cruise the night before I got here quite late and I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep

there's really no place to set up a laptop work which kind of a Mainstay of people staying in hotels I would consider that a major downside for this room

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Royal Princess on September 24, 2022. This is the tour of the Vancouver Metropolitan Hotel, where I stayed as a pre-cruise hotel. I arrived after midnight, and they gave me a room that was able to accommodate someone in a wheelchair. Accessible rooms are usually larger and have certain additional modifications that make getting around for someone who has mobility challenges a bit easier. The main modifications I saw in this room were in the bathroom, where there was a grab bar next to the toilet to help someone get up and down, and the modifications to the bathing area. There were grab bars in the shower as well, and while I initially said the shower was roll-in, upon further examination of the footage, there is a lip on the floor, it looks like it may be made of vinyl and designed to keep the water in more than anything else. If you are considering renting this room, pay close attention to the footage to ensure it meets your needs. The hotel room was comfortable and I enjoyed my stay there. The view from the room was pretty with the lights all aglow downtown. I did have breakfast in the on-site restaurant, and my Eggs Benedict were tasty.
