YouTube Video Description

Hello Travelers, I have completed the back to back (B2B) cruise on Ruby Princess for two weeks, and now I am embarking on the side to side (S2S) portion of the trip on Carnival Panorama for my sister’s birthday cruise. This is the fifth day of the cruise, and we visit Mazatlan. We again had no shore excursion booked in this port. We made our way on shore, and got in line for the mandatory tram ride through this industrial port. They dropped us off at the port building, which is really just a large shopping area. There were lots of vendors, and I highlighted a few of the more interesting ones. Once you finish shopping indoors, you are let out into the outdoor shopping area, which also has a bar if you need to get your cocktails. Along the walkway after the shopping area, there was one artist who had their paintings out. Those were very colorful and I would have been tempted, but I was hesitant about being able to get them home. Past that, there was a building with “El Mercado Arts & Crafts Center”, which sounds more impressive than it was. I had held out some hope it would be actual artisans, but no. It was much the same as what we saw in the rest of the shopping areas. The favorite saying from the vendors was that everything was “almost free.” We got that a lot and it became a running joke. That said, I did have to bring a snake cane home with me, but I did haggle him down a little from the original price.
