Hello Travelers, In August of 2023, I did my first full transit of the Panama Canal with Princess cruises. It was a 19 day cruise, the longest I had been on to date. This is day 11 of the cruise, and a sea day. The captain woke me with an announcement piped into the hallways rather than the cruise cabins about staying off the balconies because the storm we were skirting had some strong lightning and winds. While the ship wasn’t rocking, and the seas seemed fairly calm, we could clearly hear the thunder and see the electrical activity around us. I saw the Love Boat Party in the Piazza today, with dancers strutting their stuff. I also went to karaoke to see my friends sing. Tomorrow is the day we get to do our shore excursions around the Panama Canal, so I turned in fairly early to be up for that in the morning.
