Flying Southwest Airlines in a Pandemic: Oakland (OAK) - Long Beach (LGB) | Trip Report

On August 21, 2021 I took a Southwest flight from Oakland (OAK) to Long Beach (LGB) as the first leg of my journey to cruise on the Carnival Panorama. Here is the trip report. One thing I did not show here was the beverage service Southwest offers during the pandemic. Where you used to be able to order a wider variety of drinks, now with COVID-19, the airline has changed their ordering protocol. One drink is offered and you select by numbers 1-5: 1. Coke 2. Diet Coke 3. Sprite 4. Water 5. Coffee When they come by you hold up the appropriate number of fingers to indicate your preference. And you get a very small bag of pretzels. Live it up!
