Creator's Key Takeaways
I did a uh wildlife tour and it was really good. We saw a couple of bears, we saw a couple of whales, we saw some sea otterters, we saw some sea lions and then we saw a bunch of eagles.
if you have a problem with motion sickness, this might not be the tour for you cuz it moved a lot.
Ketchacan's a good place to do that actually.

Hello Travelers, Hello Travelers, join me for an unforgettable voyage on a Silversea cruise, where every detail is curated for luxury cruising. Experience the all inclusive cruise lifestyle with first class cruise amenities and gourmet dining aboard a stunning cruise ship. Get ready to set sail on an extraordinary cruise! Day 5 of this cruise finds us in the less visited port of Sitka, Alaska. Join me as I explore Sitka, on a quest to find some incredible animals. This travel vlog captures the beauty of the Alaskan coastline from a boat, showcasing the stunning animal life and scenery. Come along for this exciting alaska cruise! I have been to this port once before, so I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of what to do here. For this trip, I booked a Whale Watching and Wildlife Quest shore excursion through the ship. This is a tender port for Silversea, and we actually boarded straight from the ship. The excursion boat pulled up next to the ship, and we got on like any tender. This was a fairly good sized boat, two stories tall. When I take these kinds of excursions, I usually head straight up to the second level to find a spot where I can film off the back where there is no glass to impede my camera’s view. Glare is the main issue with filming through glass, so if you can get a perch without it, it makes for better video and pictures. We saw a plethora of wildlife on this excursion. We began with sea lions on a buoy on the way out, we stayed for a little while to get video and stills of them. Then we saw some sea otters (they are just too cute!), and were fortunate enough to encounter a mom and baby bear on the shore at one point. I was able to get some decent video of the pair, as well as some photos, although by the time I switched to the stills, it was nearing the end of the range of my zoom lens. We also encountered some eagles in flight and in the trees, and finally were able to see a few whales from a bit of a distance. All in all, it was a fruitful wildlife quest, and I would do it again. Dinner was in the dining room, and I just stuck to a salad and soup. When I got back to my room, there were two lovely chocolates in a ribbon wrapped box on my bed as a treat. It is these little touches that make for a charming time in the cabin. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
