Hello Travelers, I boarded Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas on August 15, 2022. Today is the fourth day of the cruise, and we are at Ensenada. If you saw the video for Day 3 of this cruise, you heard the Captain’s announcement that basically cancelled all shore excursions that went outside of the Ensenada’s downtown area due to civil unrest. The cartels have been targeting innocent bystanders with car bomb and also have set up road blocks to accost tourists. So the cruise line is recommending strongly that if we do get off the ship in this port, to not leave the immediate downtown area. We are also warned that there may be an increased military presence in the area. The unrest was largely focused in Tijuana, but has also spread to Ensenada, apparently. I chose not to get off the ship in this port. My shore excursion was to visit some caves where they make cheese, and it was, of course, cancelled. Since this is such a short cruise, there were still things I wanted to do on the ship, so I wasn’t disappointed. The cheese caves aren’t going anywhere, and I will no doubt be back to Ensenada before too long. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
