Princess Alaska Cruise Tour | Day 3 Glacier Bay | Solo Travel Vlog

Hello Travelers, In July of 2023, I did my first Alaska cruise tour with Princess cruises. If you haven’t done one of these before, it is a bit different than just going on a cruise. This is the first of several day videos where I am too sick to do much recording. While I was waiting for yesterday’s shore excursion to Hubbard Glacier, I had a table in the club where we were to meet. A gentleman asked if he could sit, as he was having to stand for a good while, and he used a cane. I told him he could. Later, his family found him there and gathered nearby. Unfortunately, at one point, his grand daughter (maybe 10 years old) also joined them, and at one point, walked up to the table and stood right in front of me, and then proceeded to cough in my face directly. No attempt to cover her mouth with anything, just all her germs being shared. She had quite a cough too, I noticed after the fact. Full of phlegm. By that evening, I was starting to lose my voice a little bit, but I thought it was from the cold of the excursion. I was wrong. I had caught whatever she had, and it flattened me for several days. What affects a child mildly can sometimes affect an adult quite differently. I had covid tests with me, but I tested negative, so I settled for isolating in my cabin once I realized I was likely contagious. I also had masks, and used them when I needed to go out of my cabin (especially at the end of the cruise and the airplane home). This means that this video, and all of the videos after (if I am recalling this correctly, I am editing this months later) do not have the usual narrative I put at the start and end of the videos. We’ll make do with the footage I was able to capture. Keep in mind, some of this footage came from other days, such as the ducks being hidden. Glacier Bay was beautiful as usual. I enjoyed at least being able to see it from my balcony, and run the camera from there. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content.
