Creator's Key Takeaways

I have grown tired of having to pack up and move to a new hotel each day, so I am quite looking forward to getting on the ship and staying on it for a week in one cabin.

We got on our bus bright and early this morning and headed out to Anchorage to the same hotel where we start

YouTube Video Description

Hello Travelers, In July of 2023, I did my first Alaska cruise tour with Princess cruises. If you haven’t done one of these before, it is a bit different than just going on a cruise. It’s Embarkation Day at last!!! I have grown tired of having to pack up and move to a new hotel each day, so I am quite looking forward to getting on the ship and staying on it for a week in one cabin. We got on our bus bright and early this morning and headed out to Anchorage to the same hotel where we started—the Captain Cook Hotel. They gave us time to go and find some lunch, and I had seen a restaurant on the drive in that looked interesting a few blocks from the hotel. So off I went to the Glacier Brewhouse. It was tasty and they even list the ships in port on each week’s menu. After a lunch break, I went back to the bus and we headed to Whittier. To get there, you have to go through the tunnel, which is one direction at a time since it is so narrow. The direction switches every half an hour, and the toll takers control the traffic direction and which lane goes first. When it was our turn, we headed to the tunnel. It is 2.6 miles long, and didn’t take too much time to get through. Once outside of it, we got to see the ship fairly quickly. Then it was off the bus and through security. Finally, we were able to board the ship! Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
