Creator's Key Takeaways
I'm doing the Meccllinburgg Countryside and Vintage Railway Tour, which takes us, interestingly enough, um takes us to a manor house there.
I have blisters on my feet and they are not pleased with me.
I just decided I didn't want to do it. Got up, got off the bus, told them I was leaving, went back on the ship.
I was just not up for it and need to be able to change plans when that happens.

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Sky Princess on July 20, 2024 for a trip around Scandinavia. We left out of the Port of Southampton in the UK. This was day 5 of the cruise, and we docked in Warnemunde, which is the closest port to Berlin. I booked a late excursion through Princess called the Mecklenburg Countryside & Vintage Railway, and I was looking forward to seeing that. However, events conspired to make it impossible. I had heavy walking tours the past several days, which left my feet sore and blistered. Despite having good bandaids for them, they were not happy. This, combined with how warm it was in the bus, and the driver smoking heavily right in front, so all the smoke came inside the bus, meant if I was going to go on this tour, I would need my asthma inhaler, which I had foolishly left in my cabin. They had us go to our bus early, and then wait for the rest of the group, and as it kept getting warmer inside the bus (no air conditioning since the bus was off), I finally decided that it was not going to happen for me. I got off the bus and told them I would not be doing this tour (so they wouldn’t be waiting for me), and I did some shopping in the port, which really was pretty decent—it was people with tables set up, rather than a formal store, so you got a nice variety of goods. I got a couple of nice scarfs and a piece of jewelry. Instead of doing that tour, I spent my time in the Enclave enjoying their wonderful thermal pool. I really love this class of ship with the upgraded spa. All in all, it was a good relaxing day, and I got to give my feet a break instead of adding more trauma to the existing blisters. I count it as win, although I would have liked to see the train. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content.
