Creator's Key Takeaways
I have been here several times. If you've never been to Juno though, I will say it is the best place to go whale watching.
So, I met my um tour group down on the pier at 10:30 and they whisked us away in a van and there were, let's see, I think for 14 of us maybe, I'm not sure.
And that was very interesting. So they they will bring in the uh the fish cuz the fish will will spawn back to them.
And it was lovely. It was very nice. So, yeah, that was that was my day.

Hello Travelers, Hello Travelers, join me for an unforgettable voyage on a Silversea cruises, where every detail is curated for luxury cruising. Experience the all inclusive cruise lifestyle with first class cruise amenities and gourmet dining aboard a stunning cruise ship. Get ready to set sail on an extraordinary cruise! Day 3 of this cruise finds us in the port of Juneau. S.A.L.T.ย stands forย Sea And Land Tasteย on Silversea cruises.ย It is an immersive culinary program that connects guests to a destination's culture through food via onboard and shore-based experiences, such as cooking classes, regional menus, and food-focused excursions.ย We met on the dock and boarded a van. There were maybe 12 of us in total, so not a huge group. We stopped first as a vista point, where we could see the Mendenhall Glacier in the distance. The next stop was a salmon hatchery, where we learned all about their operation and how hatcheries are helping the salmon population keep from going extinct. Then it was off to a brewery restaurant, with a private chef-created meal. Lastly, we stopped at the Shrine of St. Therese (https://www.shrineofsainttherese.org/) which was really beautiful, and would be a peaceful place for a retreat. Their website has information if you want to visit. Dinner back on the ship was at La Damme, the lineโs French restaurant. There is an upcharge, and it was well worth it.
