Carnival Celebration Day 6: Nassau, Bahamas | Inaugural US Voyage | Solo Travel

Hello Travelers, I boarded Carnival Celebration on November 21, 2022. This is a six day cruise, visiting Grand Turk, Amber Cove and Nassau. Join me in exploring this brand new ship! Today we find ourselves Nassau, Bahamas, and I am going to the Atlantis Resort. If you haven’t heard of it, it is the big pink buildings you can see from where your ship is docked. It is quite a complex, with over 3,800 rooms in the hotel buildings. There are numerous water slides, a not-so-lazy river, called the Rapid River, a beach, a lagoon, waterfalls, and more pools than you know what to do with. The bottom level of the main hotel complex is a casino, and there is also a very large marina with lots of lovely yachts. Below the casino level is The Dig, which is a themed set of aquariums. The Dig seems to hint at aliens and perhaps the fall of the mythical Atlantis, and is interesting to see what they’ve done with it. But the aquariums were really nice on their own. I managed to get some charming blisters on my feet on formal night due to wearing new shoes (I know, rookie mistake), so I decided not to go into the water. I am also not much for water slides, but I enjoyed seeing people coming off them in various places. There is even a slide that ends with you on an inner tube floating in a glass tunnel through a shark tank that looked amazing. Dinner was sushi at Bonsai, and was tasty as usual.
