Carnival Panorama Day 6 - Cabo San Lucas | First ship back to Mexico | Solo Travel | August 2021

On August 21, 2021 I set sail on the Carnival Panorama for the restart of the west coast Mexico cruises. This is day 6 of the cruise, and our final port day. We docked in Cabo San Lucas quite early. If you recall, our original itinerary had us going to Cabo San Lucas as our first stop, and we were to be there until the evening. With the problems with the propulsion that the Panorama was experiencing, the Cabo San Lucas stop was moved to the end of the ports, and we were only given until 1pm for the last tender leaving the dock. So while I had planned to tour an all inclusive property, I was not able to do so. I was also woken up quite early (around 3am) by an emergency announcement about a possible fire in the incinerator room. Later, I was woken again when we arrived at the port by loud noises from what was likely the anchor dropping and other activities associated with a port where we cannot dock. There have been loud noises before, but they had not been during normal sleeping hours. If you are sensitive to noises, you might want to get a cabin on a higher deck, and more towards the center of the ship than this was. For tenders ashore, the ship had people go and pick up tender tickets with a specific time they were to go to catch a tender. I waited until the tenders that people had to get tickets for had finished before I went onshore to shop. There is a fairly robust area right at the dock where you can do your souvenir shopping. There are also pharmacies selling a number of options that are popular. I did my shopping and returned to the ship. It was formal night, and I had dinner at the 555 Fahrenheit steakhouse.
