Creator's Key Takeaways

hello solo sue here and this is my flight back from the cruise and it didn't quite go as planned

southwest was kind enough to give us all vouchers for a hundred dollars towards a future flight so that was actually covering most of that flight cost so that wasn't bad

adding sweetener to that mai tai is the same thing as adding mentos to a 2-liter bottle of soda because it just literally exploded out of that can

it was a pretty uneventful flight they basically just shut the lights off and let everybody sleep because everybody was pretty tired

Hello Travelers, On December 17, 2021, I flew from Oakland to Long Beach at the end of my cruise on the Carnival Radiance. This is my flight on Southwest Airlines. The flight was delayed numerous times. We were scheduled to board at 4:25 PM, and I finally got on the plane at 8:15 PM. Southwest, to their credit, gave us all $100 vouchers for another flight to apologize for the delay. Given the cost of the flight wasnโ€™t much more than that, I was pleased. I purchased a MaiTai in a can (I had never seen that before and wanted to give it a try), and what can I say? It wasnโ€™t very good. So, since sometimes adding sweetener to alcoholic drinks can sometimes make them taste better, I added a packet of Splenda. Boy was that a mistake! All of the liquid immediately came fountaining straight up out of that can and all over the table. I was wearing some of it, but I did manage to scoop up my electronics (I had my laptop out, that would not have been good) but the floor got some too. I had fun finding enough napkins to clean it up and absorb all the liquid, but I eventually got it as clean as possible. If only I had it on video, but who knew that was going to happen? At the Oakland Airport, there was a Mandalorian display that I was surprised to see. It was really cool to see the various costumes and props.
