Flying Southwest Airlines in a Pandemic | San Francisco to Las Vegas | Trip Report

Hello Travelers, On August 27, 2022, I flew from San Francisco to Houston via Las Vegas. This is my flight on Southwest Airlines for the first leg of the trip: SFO - LAS. With all the flight cancellations the airlines have been experiencing, I book a first thing in the morning flight in the hopes that there would not be a delay. The full journey was from San Francisco to Las Vegas, and then within an hour, connecting to a flight to Houston (IAH). I was nervous about that connection, but the flight actually landed in Las Vegas a little early. Sadly, we lost that small window of cushion by having to wait on the tarmac for a gate to be prepared for us. But we ended up being on time, so I was pleased. The flight itself was very smooth. Sometimes we get turbulence on this route, but not today. The attendants served soft drinks (alcoholic drinks were available for purchase). It was such a quick flight that there wasn’t time for much else. Oh, and you get a very small bag of snack mix.
