Hello Travelers, I am traveling solo on my first Princess cruise. This series is out of order from the cruises I took. I only found a place in my editorial calendar here for the video series. It took place October 14 - 18, 2021. It was a four day cruise visiting Ensenada and San Diego. Today we arrived in Ensenada. The Majestic Princess was also in port around the corner from us. It was nice to see the ships together. I went on the Best of Ensenada tour booked through the ship. We went to La Bufadora, which is a natural rock formation where the water shoots up into the air when the waves come in right. To get there, you have to walk a long gauntlet of vendors, most selling tourist trinkets and souvenirs, but there was also a bar/wildlife exhibit and even a pharmacy along the way. Our guide was Benji, and all the vendors seemed to know him. He walked us through the vendor area on the way in, stopping at a few places here and there. At the end of the walk, was the Ensenada sign, and La Bufadora. The ocean was really beautiful there, and the sun was sparkling on the water, making it quite picturesque. I enjoyed the ocean for a while, and eventually headed back by myself. Everyone walking back to the bus through the vendors got the same treatment. Each person would be out in the walkway trying to talk you into coming into their booth area. Each subsequent person would say some variation of โNow itโs my turnโ. They all took no for an answer, and I didnโt feel they were too aggressive, but it did get rather tiresome after the 20th or 30th time. Once to the end of that, I stopped at the restaurant near the bus where you can use the restroom (for $.50). They had indoor and outdoor dining, and their lobster taco was really good. I also got a Pina Colada, and the total was $17. There was a ton of lobster meat in that taco, and it also came with rice and beans. Once we were all back on the bus, we drove through town for a bit and ended up at a building that had quite a history. It was used for social interactions (supervised) long ago, and there was also a bar area that had beautiful tile work and paintings behind it. The painted ceilings were just beautiful. Back on board, I had dinner (pizza) at Alfredoโs, and it was delicious. We were told we needed to go through Customs tomorrow in San Diego since it was the first US port after a foreign port was visited. I had a shore excursion booked for San Diego in the morning, so I took the first time slot to go to the Wheelhouse Bar to handle that before breakfast. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
