YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

Hello Travelers, I wanted to make a video showing how to take the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the San Francisco Cruise Terminal to the San Francisco at the end of your cruise. It is an inexpensive and convenient way to use public transit to get from the terminal to your flight. We start out at Pier 27, but fear not if your ship docks at a different pier. It will be a similar experience, as they are down the street from each other. First, before you even leave home, head over to BART.gov and set yourself up for using Clipper and your favorite payment method from your phone. This is much easier than dealing with trying to get a Clipper card, and while SFO kiosks are reportedly still selling paper tickets, the other BART stations no longer do. Once that is completed, I show you how to walk from the cruise terminal to get to the Embarcadero BART station. From there, you need to board a San Francisco Airport train (consult the schedule for your date/time of travel to see if you need a Millbrae train instead). Get off at the airport, and head to the AirTrain to find your terminal. Once on the AirTrain (Red Line), you should be able to get to the terminal for your airline and head down into the airport proper. I hope this helps you decide if using BART to get from the ship to the airport is a good option for you.
