Ruby Princess Embarkation Day | Thanksgiving Cruise | West Coast Mexico | Solo Travel

Hello Travelers, I am traveling solo on the lovely Ruby Princess cruise ship out of San Francisco and under the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. This video covers the embarkation process and the first night of the cruise. The ship departed from Pier 27 not far from the Bay Bridge. Embarkation was a bit of a challenge, because I had recently been on the Enchanted Princess and we had gone to various Caribbean ports, including Aruba and Curacao. This caused the app to put me into the Yellow lane. There I was directed into a line for another covid test despite having a negative test taken within the timeframe required. There was another lady who was in the same circumstance as I was (although she had gone further than I in the check in process and was sent down to the line I was in). A very helpful woman working there was able to straighten the process out for us, and escorted us to the correct registration line. Once she got us there, the process went very well. Ruby Princess is a ship I had not been on before, and since she was sailing out of the Port of San Francisco, and I live in the Bay Area, I thought taking a cruise from there would be nice (no airplane ride required!). I was right, it is a great port to sail from, and you get that wonderful trip under the Golden Gate Bridge that I was able to capture. It is a lovely bridge and you so rarely have the opportunity to film it from the vantage of a cruise ship. We are going to the San Diego and Ensenada on a five day cruise over the Thanksgiving holiday. I had not done Thanksgiving on a cruise before, so another first!
