Creator's Key Takeaways

i've not been to astoria my shore excursion was cancelled and so i'm going to get off the ship in a minute and see what there is to do out there

i went there and one of the rules was that you know all of the vendors had to actually make their wares and so there were some really nice things to shop for there

it was nice to have a break from all the tourists chacha keys that you normally see from touristy ports so these were very nice things and i enjoyed myself

we had a total of 2553 passengers on board and the ship has a capacity of 3782 and this was about 525 more people than we had last week's sailing it feels pretty crowded

Creator's Tips & Advice

โœ“Check if your shore excursion is cancelled before planning your day in port.
โœ“Visit artisan markets for unique, locally-made souvenirs instead of typical tourist shops.
โœ“Be prepared for crowds on board, especially in dining rooms and popular venues.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

Hello Travelers, I am on a back to back (B2B) cruise on Ruby Princess for two weeks, and then when I step off this ship, I dash to the airport and fly to Los Angeles to get onto the side to side (S2S) portion of the trip. I am embarking on Carnival Panorama for my sisterโ€™s birthday cruise. This is the third day of the cruise, and we are docked in Astoria, Oregon. I got off the ship around 12:30 and we had to be back on board at 2 or 2:30pm, so I just basically wandered around the artisan market they set up right outside the port.
