Hello Travelers, I boarded the Seabourn Odyssey on September 29, 2023 for my last cruise of the year. I had never sailed with Seabourn, and they are known as an ultra luxury line. I was very curious to see the differences in how they do things versus the main stream and even premium lines do. I am really enjoying the differences with a luxury line! The breakfast door hanger to order food to your stateroom has a plethora of choices that you don’t find on main stream lines. I was able to get Eggs Benedict delivered hot and perfect to my stateroom. Amazing! I went to several enrichment lectures, including a presentation from the Expedition team, who handles the kayaks and zodiacs on board that are available to book. They went through some of the basics about what to expect, and introduced the team and their backgrounds. It was a surprise to me that the pilots of the zodiacs were all experienced captains of vessels in their own right as well. I also attended a presentation by the ship’s photographer on Photography 101, which was interesting. Finally, I attended the Captain’s toast, where our cruise director sang a song from Les Miserable.
