How To Use Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test for Travel / School / Cruise | Start to Finish

Jan 18, 2022 Update: Abbott has made some changes to this test, and I have posted an updated video walk through with the new test. However, there are still tests out there that do not have the new item. So if this video test kit doesn't look 100% like what you have, here is the new video: https://youtu.be/al1bhKfvuNk. UPDATE: The page where you answer the questions about the reason you are getting a test now includes the option of "To obtain COVID-19 test results for pre-embarkation on a cruise ship as mandated by the CDC." It also will ask you to specify which cruse line you are traveling with. Options include: Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity, Princess, Carnival and Other. The BinaxNow at home test for Covid-19 is a test that you can do from home before you start to travel, or bring along with you to your destination if you need to have a test within a short time that is proctored by a trained guide and accepted by some of the cruise lines. It is currently being sold on the Royal Caribbean website here: https://store.optum.com/royal-caribbean/. You can order a two or a three pack, and Royal Caribbean advises to get two tests per person. You can also get these from Princess: https://store.optum.com/shop/products/abbott-binaxNOW-COVID-19-ag-at-home-test-kit-2-pack/. You can also order them from https://www.emed.com/, which is where I bought my tests. At the time I ordered them (early September 2021), emed.com was only selling them in packs of 6 for $150 plus Federal Express shipping. The test came in a couple of days, and you go back to the emed.com website and click on the Start Testing button to begin the testing process. You can also do this from your phone on the Novica app they have you download. I found it easier to deal with on my laptop, since I could adjust the screen camera to point down at the area in front of the laptop so the proctor could see what I was doing with the test. The logistics of holding a phone while doing this would be a bit more challenging for me. This video shows you the process from start to finish, including the actual collection process, so you know exactly what to expect if you decide to purchase this test for your own use.
