P&O Iona Lyesfjord Cruise & Pulpit Rock Shore Excursion | Norwegian Fjords | Solo Travel Vlog

Hello Travelers, I boarded P&O’s Iona on July 29, 2023. I have never been on this cruise line before, so I was interested to see the differences in the way a new line handles things. We are doing a seven day tour of the Norwegian Fjords, a bucket list cruise for me. I’m excited to bring you along on this trip! We are docked in Stavanger, Norway. I did a shore excursion to Pulpit Rock, and this is the video of that. This country is so beautiful, and it reminds me in part of Alaska. The fjords were carved by glaciers as the Alaskan ones were, and so there are similarities. However, I think that Norway has a lushness that I haven’t seen quite the same in Alaska. Both are beautiful in their own right of course. The boat they took us on was a double decker, but there was only seating on the bottom level. The top was open to the elements, and a bit chilly, especially as we got going. This was a wonderful excursion, and I’d recommend it. You see some really beautiful scenery.
