But first, here is my take: Balcony Upgrade Price Check: 🇺🇸US Cruise Lines: With Royal Caribbean, NCL, Carnival, etc., the price difference for a balcony upgrade is often not that extreme. It’s really worth comparing here! ⚖️ 🇪🇺European Cruise Lines: For European lines, jumping from an inside to a balcony cabin is usually quite pricey. Here you frequently pay $1,000 or more for the upgrade! 📈 When is it worth it? (My Ex-Crew Tip): 🌴 Caribbean & Mediterranean: There’s so much going on here anyway, and you’ll be on your feet all day. My opinion: An inside cabin is completely fine here! Better invest the saved money into a drink package or unforgettable shore excursions. 🍹 🏔️ Alaska & Northern Europe: Sailing a route with massive amounts of scenery? Then book the balcony!
