A series of canal locks raise and lower ships in to Gatun Lake and provide a crossing between the Pacific and Atlantic. By maintaining the fresh water in Gatun Lake it provides a unique eco system making a fascinating and interesting rain forest. This makes it one of our bucket list vacations. So come with us on a holiday of a lifetime as we traverse the locks, go into the rain forest and visit interesting ports in Columbia, Costa Rica and Mexico on the Emerald Princess one of Princess Cruises older ships.
