Creator's Key Takeaways

We are global nomads and in 2024 we sold everything we owned to travel the world full-time.

We stayed at the Hilton on points, of course, and that saved us $6000 over the whole 9 day stay.

It was difficult to get water or even Diet Coke as supplies were restricted for most things.

If you want to see something different to the city, we learned so much about the gaucho way of life.

Creator's Tips & Advice

βœ“Bring an adapter for UK plugs as the international plug may not work.
βœ“Use Uber for transportation as it is readily available and reasonably priced.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

Today we start to explore Buenos Aires. We arrived a few days earlier but headed straight to Iguazu Falls. Now we are back for 7 days to explore the city. We stayed at the Hilton on points, of course, and that saved us $6000 over the whole 9 day stay. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite (very nice) and had access to the executive lounge (love me a lounge) but the theme of the stay became apparent early on. It was difficult to get water or even Diet Coke as supplies were restricted for most things in the lounge and it was the same while shopping. Credit card processing fees as high as 20% and it was so difficult to buy Christmas decorations. Even though we were there 2 weeks before Christmas. The only way to shop at Christmas would be at a specialist Christmas store, and it's expensive. We decided to do some different experiences and firstly visited an Estancia to see the Gaucho way of life. It was a long drive out of the City but we saw true artisan silversmiths at work as well as seeing village life outside the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. We had great food, wine and saw an amazing horse demonstration in the Gaucho way. Music and wine were free flowing and a good time was had by all, even the dogs who managed to have some extra chicken. We then did a more traditional City tour which we had done previously 20 years ago. You really do get a feel for Buenos Aires and the love of football, and Mate, is evident everywhere. We saw some of the more popular sights and ended up in the most beautiful bookstore in the world. Bring cash because they will gauge you with credit card pricing and hold onto your valuables as petty crime is a thing. What struck us is the short supply of so many things and the checking of bags everywhere. We even found 2 AAA batteries in a secure theft proof case which is insane, and $3.50. Inflation is also a thing here and always has been and people here just live with it, its part of life in Buenos Aires. #caminopampas #hiltonbuenosaires #buenosaires #travel #globalnomadtravel #worldtraveller #worldtravel #slowtravel #digitalnomad #digitalnomadlife #retireearly #retireearlyandtravel #financialindependenceretireearly ireearly #digitalnomadlifestyle VIDEO CHAPTERS 00:00 Introduction 01:10 Hilton Buenos Aires 1 Bedroom Suite Room Tour 04:00 Camino Pampas Tour at the Estancia 15:18 City Tour of Buenos Aires 20:25 Shopping is expensive 28:50 Credit Card surcharges were 20% 31:45 Getting Around Buenos Aires 33:27 Thanks for watching OUR TOURS https://caminopampa.com/ https://toursbuenosaires.com/ Our Links Airalo: https://airalo.go.link/3ofAz Wise: https://wise.com/invite/irhc/jamesr1487 Nord VPN: https://refer-nordvpn.com/SYNYUNhtBvN The Credit Cards we use Chase IHG - https://www.referyourchasecard.com/210f/TKV3WX6T1X Chase Sapphire Reserve - https://www.referyourchasecard.com/19q/VBEDZ1CISQ Chase Ink Cash-https://www.referyourchasecard.com/21s/N6TMLHSOZO Chase Ink Preferred-https://www.referyourchasecard.com/21s/ZQ3MXA7I5Y American Express Marriott Bonvoy https://americanexpress.com/en-us/referral/marriott-bonvoy-business-american-express-card?ref=JAMESRvkWi&XL=MIANS Chase freedom Helen-https://www.referyourchasecard.com/18J/5WH3HLPBBJ CHASE SAPPHIRE Helen - https://www.referyourchasecard.com/19q/NC0JNHUYDH CHASE INK HELEN UNLIMITED- https://www.referyourchasecard.com/21s/FRWQQ7W3IE CHASE INK HELEN PREFERRED-https://www.referyourchasecard.com/21s/TV8PBGDBGA CHASE INK HELEN- https://www.referyourchasecard.com/21s/LKK2JZIE2A Our Contact https://www.facebook.com/GlobalNomads93/ https://www.instagram.com/globalnomads93?igsh=emg1ZzkybnJyOXZv Email: globalnomads93@gmail.com
