🚨🚢🏃‍♂️ CRUISE LINES HAVE ZERO MERCY WHEN IT COMES TO BEING LATE... We’ve all seen those "funny" videos of pier runners sprinting for their lives while the ship’s horn is already blasting. But the reality at the pier is brutal! Did you know how strictly these times are actually regulated? Depending on the Cruise Line- GUESTS: "All Aboard" is usually 30 minutes before departure. But for the CREW, the rules are even tougher: We had to be back on board 60 minutes prior! And trust me, the Captain does NOT play around. I had many friends and colleagues who were summoned straight to the Bridge to face the Captain just for being a few minutes late! As a former Shore Excursion & Biking Guide on board, here is my expert advice: 1️⃣ TOTAL SAFETY: Book your excursion through the cruise line. If a whole bus is stuck in traffic, the ship GUARANTEES to wait for you & you have zero stress! 2️⃣ EXPLORING ON YOUR OWN: Plan your return so you ALWAYS have a 90-minute buffer before "All Aboard" time. A flat tire, traffic jams, or a missed train can happen in a heartbeat. Does this buffer save your vacation? Yes! And if everything goes smoothly, you get to enjoy the ship’s perks stress-free with a cocktail on a nearly empty pool deck! 🍹 🚨 The algorithm might never show you my page again! 🥺 Let’s change that!
