Please excuse the intro! I had next to nothing for the second sea day, mostly because I spent the morning in the Spa having a massage. It was expensive but effective which is something of a comfort to my bank account! We'd been to Athens before, out of season, and had excellent tours of the sights so we weren't bothered about going again, especially in season with everywhere crowded. We intended to hang around the ship and explore a bit of Piraeus when the excursion appeared, listing one to the Corinth Canal. It was a memorable experience, even though I looked at the strata as much as the view, my mining engineer emerging from hibernation for the trip... We saw most of the entertainment during the cruise. Most was good, Revive was superb, the two off-ship entertainers were nothing special but the show that night, Diva, was (in our opinion) just dreadful. The costumes were often impractical - for example two of the skirts in the clip - and the musical arrangements meant most songs were unrecognisable. The cast, as always, threw themselves into it but they have to perform material provided by Marella and have no input otherwise. It must be soul destroying to work so hard but have the audience give no reaction.
