Creator's Key Takeaways

You have to buy tickets for each one separately. This is the usual setup at the bottom. There were a big cues, so you definitely better off buying your tickets online beforehand

It's quite remarkable how nature can recover in a relatively short amount of time. I don't know how high we are in this gondola above Funchal

If you hadn't got great mobility, I really wouldn't recommend coming this way. You can get to the botanical gardens on public transport from Funchal or by a taxi.

We ate in Vista, it was really good. It was the best meal we'd had so far that week. It's an included restaurant. Um with an Italian theme

βœ“Buy tickets for the cable car and the botanical gardens separately as combined tickets are no longer available.

About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description↓

We had a full day in port so we decided to visit the Botanival Gardens, near Monte. We took the cable car to Monte, then walked to the ticket office of the Cable car to the Gardens. It was clearly signposted so straightforward enough. You have to buy tickets for each cable car separately, even though some websites suggest you can. You could until recently but it's been discontnued. We enjoyed the gardens, though we didn't have the time to see it all. That night we ate in Vista, an included restaurant in a section of Latitude 53. It was definitely the best meal so far and possibly the best we had all week. The show, Christmas at Sea, was very good indeed. It combined songs and dancing with a pantomime, starring the cruise director as the Dame. That was quite hilarious. Following comments by Ted_K_Have_A_Nice_Day, I have added a commentary to the first part of this video. Please let me know what you think. Is it something I should do more?
