Welcome to the 5th episode of our MSC Seaside vlog series. Today, we were in Charlotte Amalie in Saint Thomas - a US Virgin Island. We firs grab as shuttle/taxi from the quayside and head to the beach. We had heard how beautiful Magens Bay is a bay in the Northside region on Saint Thomas. The taxi was around $8 per person and entry to the beach an additional $5 per person. Having spent a couple of hours there, we grabbed another taxi back to port (being on a beach all day isn't our idea of a day well spent). We made our way to Paradise Point sky-lift station (https://www.paradisepointvi.com). The Skyride to Paradise Point whisks up to 24 passengers at a time 700 ft above the town of Charlotte Amalie. The 7-minute accent takes you all the way up flag hill to the viewpoint at the top. Up here you can enjoy spectacular views of the town, port and surrounding areas, it has to be said this experience is one of the islands must do attractions and shouldn’t be missed. After a baileys Bushwacker cocktail and food, we make our way back down to the ship and back on board. Tonight's meal was in the Asian Market Kitchen by Roy Yamaguchi - which was absolutely delicious, so nice we cant decide if this or Butchers Cut is our favourite. We like making videos of our cruises, they may not be to everyone’s tastes but they are our way of remembering the great times we’ve had, so please keep this in mind – we are not professionals and the complete video is shot and edited on an iPhone. We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails). Make sure follow us on social media, the links are below.
