Three of them died and two were seriously wounded. The act of violence, which rang in 2020, has become all too common in Limón. In the first two months of the year, the province of Limón saw 29 homicides, according to the Judicial Investigation Agency (Organismo de Investigación Judicial – OIJ). Sixteen of these happened in the city of Puerto Limón and at least 14 were linked to a settling of scores between criminal gangs.
