We scheduled an AirBnB stay in Chiang Mai in the Astra Sky River for over a month but after a couple of weeks we made the decision to walk away and go to the Marriott. We talk about the decision to move out and the disadvantages and advantages of the AirBnB. This is not our first AirBnB stay but it can be so frustrating when reviews do not detail things like missing items, cleanliness, noise, location and for us comfort is an issue. Some hosts are more responsive than others and the review system is set so that giving a bad review could mean you will get a bad review back. In Astra Sky River we had a poor host, constant noise, missing kitchen utensils and plates and the unit was dirty and uncomfortable. There was only lukewarm water in the bath and shower. None of these things are even mentioned in reviews for fear of getting a bad review back. Hotels for us provide us more comfort and take away so much decision fatigue and that makes it a better fit. But we are different to you and everybody else so you do you.
