Kowloon Park has a beautiful assortment of spaces, ponds with fountains, a great assortment of sculptures, a Chinese garden with a pond full of turtles, spaces where you can exercise or practice tai chai and a has an assortment of birds. The best thing is it is entirely free providing an interesting location to chill out and spend some time. Victoria Harbour separates Kowloon from Hong Kong Island and is a thriving waterway. The Star Ferry is an iconic symbol of Hong Kong and has been in existence for 135 years. It provides a very budget friendly way to cross the harbour to one of two locations taking in the views as you do and is used by both locals and tourists. We made a bucket list of places we want to visit and Steve’s choice was Asia, he loves the continent, enjoys exploring the culture and landscapes. So we booked a cruise with Celebrity Cruises adding on some hotel days at the start and end of the holiday to explore Hong Kong and Singapore. Neither of us have been to the places on this itinerary previously. So on this adventure we explore on our own and we also take ship excursions to maximise our time and experience.
