Valencia On Our Own

The last stop on our cruise saw us at Valencia, which we hadn't visited before. We decided to take the bus to Valencia Old Town, quite a drive from the port, and simply wandered around as whimsy took us. It was a Sunday, which meant many sites were closed. Souvenir shops were open, of course, but so were quite a few women's fashion shops, which did come as a surprise. After lunch we walked to the strip of parkland that was created from the bed of a diverted river. It was remarkably quiet down there and was very popular with walkers and cyclists but it was very hot again so we were glad to have wter with us. Unfortunately, the heat got to my camera and I had to abandon shooting before I would have iked to.
