Flying Alaska Airlines First Class in a Pandemic | San Francisco to Los Angeles | Trip Report

Hello Travelers, On April 30, 2022, I flew first class on Alaska Airlines from San Francisco (SFO) to Los Angeles (LAX) at the start of my cruise on Carnival Panorama. This was the side to side portion of my three week cruise adventure. Here is the trip report. I got off the Ruby Princess in the Port of San Francisco as soon as I could. I walked my bags off the ship so I wouldn’t have to wait for them to be brought down in groups by the porters. This was my first experience doing so, and let’s just say the big suitcases are easier to deal with on smooth flooring than they are on carpet. I was wrestling with two large suitcases and a laptop case and a carryon bag. I got through Customs quickly and was out in front of the port. The rideshare app indicated that there would be a wait for a driver, but there was no wait at the Taxi line. So I got a taxi to San Francisco airport. Once at the airport, I dropped my bags with Alaska Airlines and made it through security and to my gate with a little time to relax. The flight was smooth, and uneventful. The plane landed on time, and I picked up my bags quickly and made it to my ship. But that’s another video.
