Norwegian Prima Disembarkation Day | Inaugural Sailing | Solo Travel

Hello Travelers, I was on the brand new Norwegian Prima cruise ship for a media and travel agent cruise. This video covers disembarking the ship in the Port of Galveston. I tried to get one more Eggs Benedict in for breakfast, but alas, they changed the menu on me. Oh well, at least I got it yesterday. The process was very straightforward. I joined the line at the appointed time, and they had the facial recognition setup so that you went through that just as you left the ship, so you didn’t have to do it port building at all. At the very end just before I walked out of the building and into the parking lot, you can see a port customs agent asking me if I had any alcohol or anything to declare, and since I didn’t, she just waived me along. One thing you can tell on this video (despite me speeding up the footage) is that there is A LOT of walking to get off the ship and through the building into the parking lot. So if that is an issue for you, you might want to make other arrangements. You can certainly take the elevator instead of the switchbacks they had me follow, so that will cut down a little bit, but if you need a wheelchair, you should probably think seriously about making arrangements. I booked an airport transfer, so this video ends with the bus. It was a smooth transition to the airport, and we made good time despite being in the midst of rush hour morning traffic.
