Creator's Key Takeaways

embarkation was you know I've done it twice recently in Vancouver and it just seems more complex than it should be

the security person decided to confiscate that and she told me as she was writing up the ticket that I can go to Guest Services

we just barely cleared that thing it was amazing but it was really kind of fun to have a a nighttime sail away

I did dinner in the crown Grill which is always good

YouTube Video Description

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Royal Princess on September 24, 2022. It is embarkation day, and I arrived at Canada Place ready to board! Embarkation at Canada Place seems to be more complex than it should be. There are lines for every step, when several steps could be handled with just one stop. I don’t see this approach at other more streamlined ports. I do enjoy the Princess ship design, particularly their newer ships. With the Royal Princess, you can clearly see how the line has evolved their ship design over time. All my favorite were there—the Piazza, International Cafe, and Spirits at Sea. I had to stop and do my muster drill, and then after dropping my carryon in my room, it was lunch time. Margherita pizza and some gelato were the order of the day. Oh, plus a Mojito, of course. We were quite late sailing away—our captain told us it was because we had to wait for a low enough tide for us to clear the Lions Gate Bridge. The Celebrity Millennium and the HAL Koningsdam both were docked with us and left long before we did. I guess we’re a taller ship. Dinner was in the Crown Grill, and was delicious as always. I had surf and turf, which I rarely indulge in, but it hit the spot this time. After dinner, I filmed our sailaway at last.
