Creator's Key Takeaways
i had it out on my balcony as we sailed in which is a very nice way of having your day start so i recommend that
this actually took probably an hour and a half to get through to actually start my excursion
the buses are clear plastic on top and they're actually for the front half of the bus it's actual windows but past that it's those roll up vinyl and it let a lot of water in and the seats were all wet
i was really hesitant to get off in any of the sooner stops that might have been interesting just because i wasn't sure i'd be able to get on another bus

Hello Travelers, I am on a back to back (B2B) cruise on Ruby Princess for two weeks, and then when I step off this ship, I dash to the airport and fly to Los Angeles to get onto the side to side (S2S) portion of the trip. I am embarking on Carnival Panorama for my sisterโs birthday cruise. This is the fifth day of the cruise, and we are docked in Vancouver, Canada. We were all encouraged to use the ArriveCAN app to make sure our information was there before we arrived in Canada. It gives you a QR code to show them at the port, but even though I saw lots of people with their phones at the ready, nobody asked us. When we were let off the ship, they funneled us through an area where we all were checked in and directed to where our tours were supposed to leave from. I was given incorrect information, and directed to where the tour busses were all lined up in the parking garage under Canada Place. I was on a Hop on Hop off bus tour, and they were meeting at street level. One of the tour bus drivers was able to direct me eventually. The line was very long and slow moving. It was clear that they had not added capacity for the volume of people who booked the tour from the ships, and it took about an hour and a half to get to the bus, which they filled to capacity. This meant that any of the stops down the line where people might have gotten off of their busses, they kept having to wait as full busses stopped there but couldnโt take on any passengers. I was very concerned seeing this time and again that if I got off the bus, I might be stuck somewhere and have to make my own way back to the ship. So most of us stayed on the bus until the Granville Island stop when about half of the bus emptied. There was a market there and people wanted to see it. There were several stops where I would have liked to get off and explore, but did not because of the capacity issue. I had a route map and was considering getting off at Chinatown and then just walking to the next area of interest, but the bus driver told us the neighborhoods we would be traversing (and I was a solo female traveler) were filled with homeless people and may not be safe. So I stayed on until the steam powered clock and then walked the rest of the way back. It was close enough and in an area full of shopping and restaurants, so I felt safe enough to just walk it. I ran across a small food court and stopped for lunch. I got back on the ship in plenty of time to make my reservation at the Crowne Grill. Dinner was very good, and then we had a lovely sunset sailaway. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you donโt miss future content.
