sit on the right side of the bus that is where most of the scenes that you're going to want to see are
i would recommend that that was fun it's a beautiful old castle
it is not something where you can do if you have problems with stairs it's just not possible
cruising is back because we were still 500 under capacity on the ship and the lines were just tremendous

Hello Travelers, I am on a back to back (B2B) cruise on Ruby Princess for two weeks, and then when I step off this ship, I dash to the airport and fly to Los Angeles to get onto the side to side (S2S) portion of the trip. I am embarking on Carnival Panorama for my sister’s birthday cruise. This is the sixth day of the cruise, and we are docked in Victoria, Canada. I originally had booked a shore excursion to have tea at the Empress Hotel, but it was cancelled. So I booked a tour of the Craigdarroch Castle instead, which was wonderful. I really enjoyed being able to tour the castle, which was really beautiful, full of period furnishings. The excursion description stresses that there are 87 steps to the tower, where you get stunning views of Victoria. While it is true that there are a lot of steps in this tour, they are not 87 steps all at once. Each level has a set of stairs in the central stair case (and there are some to get to the first level of the castle from outside as well), and then you walk around that level and see the rooms before venturing to the next level. So while I would not recommend this for someone who had problems navigating stairs, if you are concerned about being able to climb that many stairs at once, hopefully this gives you some useful information. The tour guide took us on a tour of the city on the way to the castle, and then a different route on the way back. He was full of information about all of the sights we were seeing as well. I do recommend that you sit on the right side of the bus though, as that is where most of the things he pointed out seemed to be. The number of sights visible from the left side of the bus was much reduced. We got back to the ship at exactly noon, which was the all aboard time. So many other tours seemed to have the same idea that we encountered quite a line to get back on the ship. And once on the ship, the lines to get food from any venue were also long. The dining room was at capacity and was simply turning people away rather than have them wait for a table. Cruising seems to be back at almost full speed, but the processes that were in place by the cruise lines to handle crowds seem to have been lost—perhaps with crew turnover, they have lost some vital institutional knowledge. It is hard to say. Tomorrow is a sea day and the final day of my back to back portion of the cruise. Please like this video and subscribe to my channel to make sure you don’t miss future content. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
