Creator's Key Takeaways
good morning Travelers it is day four of the Alaska cruise on the Seaborn Odyssey and it's dark outside and it's 6:30 in the morning
it was really cool to see the bridge and to see how they control it and to hear about the engines
this is a really green vessel they have electric engines and so they don't spew near the black smoke that other ships will be putting out
tomorrow we are going to the hubber glacier I am doing a zodiac for the first time so that should be exciting

Hello Travelers, I boarded the Seabourn Odyssey on September 29, 2023 for my last cruise of the year. I had never sailed with Seabourn, and they are known as an ultra luxury line. I was very curious to see the differences in how they do things versus the main stream and even premium lines do. This morning, I went on an excursion to see sea otters! So much fun, and we saw a bunch of them. The one problem is that the boat is moving, the otters are moving, the sea is moving. So it is tough to actually get the video, much less getting still photos in focus. I think I got some good shots though. Let me know your favorite. We also saw a momma whale and her calf. I think we saw them both outbound and inbound, which was a treat. Once back, I was able to go on a bridge tour. The officer on deck gave us a tour and told us many facts about the ship and her engines. Really interesting stuff, and I havenβt been able to do a bridge tour in years. For spillway, the ship hosted a caviar party. There were people walking around with caviar and toast points, plus vodka shots and champagne. The cruise director sang opera, and then a group of four singers came out and entertained us. Finally, I had dinner in the Colonnade, which is a buffet for breakfast and lunch, but turns into a restaurant for dinner. I have more videos for this cruise, as well as future cruises booked through the rest of this year and beyond. Thanks for watching!
