Hello Travelers, I boarded the Sky Princess on July 20, 2024 for a trip around Scandinavia. We left out of the Port of Southampton in the UK. This is day 3 of the cruise, where we stopped in Skagen, Denmark. I booked a shore excursion through the ship called Voergaard Manor House & idyllic Saeby. This was a popular tour, and when we first arrived on the busses, we were told we would go in groups. The first group would tour the manor and the second group would tour the town first. And then we’d switch places. Our group got to tour the manor first. The bus driver also told us we weren’t allowed to film, but that they sometimes would allow people to use their phones. Some of the guides were anti-video but our guide didn’t say a word when people started filming, so I was able to get some nice footage. The tour does warn people that there are three flights of stairs, and they are not kidding. They are steep and there is no accommodation for people with mobility issues in these vintage historic houses. So if that is an issue, I would not recommend this tour for you. That said, the manor house was lovely, and it was nice to be able to see all the period furnishings. There was also a gift shop with some carriages and jewelry on display, as well as limited snack options. After the manor tour, we walked through some of the town os Saeby, and visited a church there.
